What it does

The skill guides Claude to structure your fundraising story using a proven investor arc. It starts by collecting your raw data, then maps a narrative around a hook, pain point, solution, market opportunity, traction, team, and ask. For each slide, it writes a spoken script, integrates your metrics naturally, and adds persuasive rhythms so your numbers land emotionally.

You get a document ready to paste into your presentation notes, with each slide clearly labeled, key data points highlighted, and transitions that keep the audience leaning in.

When to use it

• You’re building a pitch from scratch and need a narrative backbone
• Your current deck feels like a bullet list of achievements without a thread
• You’re pitching different audiences and need to swap in tailored data points quickly
• You want to ensure a logical, investor‑tested flow before designing slides

When not to use it

• You already have a polished, investor‑loved narrative and only need light editing
• You lack any real traction or market data (the output will be weak without substance)
• The pitch is for a grant, loan, or nonprofit context that follows a different evaluation framework

How to install and use

1. Download the skill ZIP from this page.
2. In Claude, follow your usual method for loading a custom skill, or simply paste the SKILL.md instructions into a new chat.
3. Start the conversation with a command like: "Build an investor pitch narrative from my startup data and fundraising goals."
4. The skill will prompt you for the required inputs (problem, solution, market, traction, team, ask). Answer with bullet points, paragraphs, or a mix.

Traction: $500K in LOIs, pilot with a major subscription box company, 30% conversion from sample sends. Team: Materials scientist founder, ex‑Amazon operations CTO, Sequoia advisor. Ask: $2M seed to scale production, expand sales, hit $1M ARR in 18 months.

Output (excerpt): Slide 1 – Title Slide "Every time you open an ecommerce package, you’re holding a piece of a problem that’s costing the industry $20 billion a year. I’m [Founder], and at EcoPack, we’ve developed packaging that’s better for the planet – and 20% cheaper than plastic."

Limitations

• No revenue? No problem – but be honest. The skill frames early traction through pilots, waitlists, or letters of intent. If you fabricate numbers, the narrative will sound hollow.
• It doesn’t design slides. This is a narrative generator, not a design tool. You’ll still need to create visuals.
• Investor-fit depends on your audience. The script uses a general VC-friendly arc. For a very specialized fund (deep tech, biotech), you may need to adjust the emphasis.
